Join us on Saturday, August 23rd from 4:00-8:00 pm to celebrate the REclaimED Makerspace for our 5-Year Anniversary as an organization in Poultney!
In addition to food and music, we will have a number of demos and hands-on activities centered on our mission to teach and instill sustainable practices in our community, and we will be launching our long-awaited ceramics studio!
Some featured activities:
Mending Station
How it works:
- Bring us your damaged clothing - holey sweaters, torn knees, blown out seams, missing buttons, broken zippers, etc. (one item per person, please!)
- Our team of menders will repair your items during the event, or teach and guide you through repairing it yourself
- First come, first served
Papermaking
- Did you know making recycled paper is actually super easy? This is a great craft for all ages, and something you can even do at home with the kids. Come try it with us!
Block printed t-shirts designed by Dan Rotundo of Rotundo Tattoo, carved and printed by our team!
How it works:
- Bring your own blank t-shirt from home, buy a locally-thrifted blank from us, or go thrift one yourself
- We hand-print Dan's sweet design on the shirt for you, or you can print it yourself, if you like!
- Leave us your contact info so we can contact you when your shirt is ready to take home
We'd also like to extend the invitation to you all to come out and jam during the event in an outdoor open-mic session.
Thank you to everyone who helped us get this far.
We hope to see you there but in the meantime, reduce, reuse, repair!
