The Rock and Roll Playhouse plays Music of Grateful Dead + More for Kids

Join The Rock and Roll Playhouse, the beloved family concert series that brings the music of the classic rock canon to life for kids and parents alike. Hosted at historic venues nationwide, these concerts invite children to move, play, and sing along to songs made famous by rock’s most legendary artists. Designed for families with kids age 10 and under, each show combines live music and movement to spark creativity and inspire a lifelong love of live music.

This special edition celebrates the timeless songs of the Grateful Dead, introducing a new generation of music lovers to the magic of one of rock’s most iconic bands. Come dance, play, and discover the joy of rock and roll together!

Empire Training Center for the Arts is proud to host this celebration of Grateful Dead music at the historic Chance Theater in Poughkeepsie, where The Jerry Garcia Band once played. In honor of the1983 concert, all tickets for this event are $19.83 (plus applicable fees), with free tickets for Kids Under 1.

Doors open 11:30am, Show 12pm - 1pm.

All children must be accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver.
