We welcome existing owners, new owners to be and anyone who is keen to come along and learn more or just spend a few hours with the best breed on the planet!! Plus any local greyhound owners who would like to come and say hello are also welcome 👋
We will have some kennel dogs awaiting homes with us for you to meet and will be on hand to answer any questions 🐾
This will be an OPEN DAY STYLE social meet up, but this will NOT be at our kennels as we do not have sufficient parking.
We will be holding this at THE DOG RUN, NORTHAW ROAD WEST, EN6 4QX
We hope to have some bits & pieces for sale on the day for fundraising, and some snacks for humans & hounds - plus some fun events (sausage bobbing, we may try to get a photographer & maybe a guest dog trainer! Human snacks/drinks will be available to purchase for a small donation (if anyone wants to bake anything & bring, we would welcome this too!! 💕
We know it is way in advance we are posting this (Jan 2025) , so please only confirm you are attending if you definitely are (a maybe is fine for now, but make sure you update to YES closer to the time - this is just so we can get an approximate idea of numbers (for the snacks)!
RULES FOR ATTENDEES:
You must clean up after your dogs 💩and take any rubbish home with you 🚮
All dogs must be on a lead 🐕🦺unless having an allocated slot in the smaller activity field where it is your responsibility to ensure the gate is securely closed 🔒(anyone who does NOT close this gate securely will be asked to leave, it is dangerous for your dog but also other dogs!)
Any dogs who use the small activity field, do so at owners risk ❗️
NON greyhounds are welcome, but only if non reactive and already sharing their home with a greyhound 🐕 but please note, like with all breeds of dog, some dogs attending may not be so keen on other dogs - so in general as we know sighthounds tend to all get on well, we would prefer the majority to be these types just to make sure everyone has a calm and enjoyable day - with as little drama as possible🐩
