Street Choke Seminar – Exclusive for Gracie Jiu Jitsu Post Falls Members!
Join us on Saturday, July 26, from 10 AM to 12 PM for a special training event focused on 16 simple and highly effective chokes designed specifically for use with everyday clothing. Whether you're new to jiu-jitsu or a seasoned practitioner, this seminar will help you maximize your choke potential in real-world self-defense scenarios.
One of the most debated topics in jiu-jitsu is: gi or no-gi for self-defense? This seminar makes a strong case for the gi—and even more so, for the chokeability of common street clothes like t-shirts and hoodies. You’ll learn how to apply powerful chokes using regular garments, and by the end of the session, you might actually prefer your opponent be wearing a t-shirt over anything else.
The seminar starts with techniques using hooded sweatshirts, then transitions into a wide variety of highly effective t-shirt chokes—including several brand-new variations that have never been taught before. It wraps up with practical adaptations for other clothing types like jackets, button-ups, and even tank tops.
