Set your cruise control, grab your crew, and join us for the Slowpoke-R-Run — a one-of-a-kind, on-the-water fundraiser benefiting Cast A Wish, where the speed is low but the stakes are high. Whether you’re in it for the fun, the prizes, or the cause, this event is all about sunshine, boats, and big hands.
Info for event:
It’s a full-day event - This slow-ride experience spans across multiple stops along the Elizabeth River, with boats collecting one card per hand at each location.
* Start at any stop beginning at 10:00 AM
* Visit all 5 stops to collect your full hand
* Finish at Fish & Slips by 4:00 PM to turn in your cards and enjoy the party
At the final stop -Hands will be submitted and ranked. Each player must use the event app to track their hands and submit for winnings.
* Best Hand wins $5,000
* Worst Hand still takes home $500
* Ties will be broken by a high-card or low-card draw
Entry + Fees:
Boat registration $300 ($350 after 9/1) – includes entry to Poke-r Run, 1 poker hand for your boat, 2 food tickets for Fish & Slips Deck Party, 4 drink tickets for Fish & Slips Deck Party.
**Additional poker hands $250 per hand – Maximum of 6 hands per boat**
$40 to attend the afterparty only
* Additional food and drink tickets may be purchased per boat
* Additional poker hands may be purchased (max of 6 poker hands per boat)

*Final stop is Fish & Slips Marina & Raw Bar for hand submission + winner announcement
