ABOUT THE HAMPTON TRIO

The Hampton Trio is an ensemble of mandolin, mandola, and classical guitar (Robert Margo, mandolo/mandolin, Beverly Davis, guitar, and Mark Davis, guitar/mandolin). Their program is varied and reflects their interest to popularize and add to the existing repertoire for this particular group of instruments. Their programs often include classical guitar duos by Mark and Beverly Davis, and mandolin solos by Robert A. Margo. They are all members of the the New American Mandolin Ensemble and have appeared in plucked string music festivals in throughout Europe and the USA.

ABOUT GUITAR SUNDAYS

PMAC's Guitar Sundays is a free, family-friendly monthly concert series that showcases a rich lineup of classical guitar talent. The 2024/25 season includes a Grammy Award-winner, internationally-recognized guitarists, and local New England artists.
This series is free and open to the public! The location alternates between PMAC and the library, so please see event listings for details.

The program is co-presented by Portsmouth Music and Arts Center (PMAC) and Portsmouth Public Library, in association with the Boston Classical Guitar Society and curated by Mitch Shuldman.
