Gallery X Debuts at Common Fence Point Community Center
Twenty-two artists from Gallery X in New Bedford will exhibit their work at Common Fence Point Arts, Wellness and Community Center from October 5th through November 2nd 2025, an innovative show designed to introduce local residents to artwork from a neighboring community.
An Artists’ Reception on October 12th from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. will open the exhibit, offering residents a chance to meet the artists from Gallery X.
“What inspires you?” is the theme of the exhibition, which will feature approximately 50 two and three-dimensional works of art by Gallery X members. In addition, local residents will be invited to post their own answers to “What inspires you?” on a white board at the exhibit.
Founded in1990 Gallery X is a contemporary, cooperative art gallery of visual, performing and literary artist members and volunteers. A non-profit, Gallery X promotes a mission of cultural outreach through art exhibitions, accessible education programming and community partnerships to stimulate artistic awareness in New Bedford and the surrounding areas. Their inclusionary philosophy allows artists from student to professional the opportunity to show and grow their work in a vibrant, supportive environment. They offer ten exhibits a year on two floors, giving their members ample opportunity to share their work.
