Volunteer to create a Festive Winter Window - or keep an eye on this page for updates as the Milton Advent Trail takes shape!
This December, 24 Milton households will each design a tissue-paper “stained glass” Advent window to bring colour and light to our neighbourhood.
All 24 numbered windows will be displayed from the 1st to 24th December, creating a beautiful Advent trail. A map of the locations will be shared nearer the time, so you can take a festive walk around Milton and find them all!
SUPPORTING SHELTER
For those who have enjoyed the trail, we’ll be suggesting a small donation to the housing charity Shelter - helping others find a safe and warm home this winter.
VOLUNTEERS
We’re looking for 24 volunteers living in Milton to each create one numbered Advent window.
Anyone can join in - experienced crafters, beginners, adults and kids alike!
You’ll receive an A1 sheet of black sugar paper (or cut it to your preferred size - the bigger the better!) to form the frame for your tissue-paper design.

**Volunteers will need to commit to:
- Creating and displaying an Advent window in a street-facing window, ready for 1st December.
- Keeping it lit each night from 1st to 24th December
We’ll aim to keep the trail compact and walkable, so when selecting volunteers we’ll consider location to make sure the windows are nicely grouped for an enjoyable trail.
