After the success of the first Anchor Drop, we simply had to do it again. This event is all about celebrating and putting Cairns’ original music scene on the map — one lineup at a time.
Anchor Drop is a one-day original music event on the banks of Chinaman Creek, held at Cairns Cruising Yacht Squadron.
Featuring another stacked lineup of incredible local talent — ANNOUNCEMENT WEDNESDAY MORNING — this is an outdoor, all-ages celebration of live music and grassroots community.
All killer, no filler — just good music and good people.
With a licensed bar and kitchen on site, plenty of parking, picnic-perfect surrounds, and heaps of room to move, Anchor Drop is equal parts party and hangout. Come early, stay late, bring a chair or a rug, and settle in for a full day of grooves, energy, and unity on the water.
