Simrit is a vocalist, composer, and bandleader whose work blends musical traditions from her Greek and North African heritage with contemporary global influences. Her compositions integrate modal melodies, layered rhythms, and extended vocal techniques to create immersive, genre-defying soundscapes.

Born in Athens and raised in the American South, Simrit draws on a range of cultural and spiritual traditions in her music, often incorporating elements of Greek folk, West African drumming, and devotional chant. Her ensemble features a rotating group of accomplished instrumentalists, and together they have released multiple charting albums on international World Music platforms.

Simrit performs internationally in concert halls and festivals, known for creating performances that are both musically intricate and emotionally resonant.
