In an unprecedented show of collaboration and community building, seven leading Portland-based knife companies (Benchmade, CRKT, Gerber Gear, Leatherman, The James Brand, William Henry, and STEELPORT Knife Co.) have united to form the Portland Knife Center of Excellence (PKCoE).
PKCoE works to bring global awareness to Portland as a global knifemaker destination, to connect and celebrate the passionate Knife Community while building pride in American craft, education, and innovation. The Portland Knife Center of Excellence continues to strengthen and grow, showing off Portland as "Knife Town, USA".
You're invited to PKCoE's second annual Showcase Event on “National Knife Day,” August 24, 2025.
In addition to all seven brands being present, the showcase will also feature a knife sharpening competition, local food and drink, and more.
This event is open to the public, and welcome to all who have an interest in the past, present and future of knifemaking in Oregon.
