Queer Resistance LGBTQ+ Self-Defense Workshop Series

Queer Resistance Series at the ECC in partnership with @pacmaine . Part of the Equality Community Center’s new House of Wellness series.

Join us every first Tuesday, May through August, for a 4-part community workshop series centering safety, strength, and solidarity. Each session focuses on practical tools for navigating a world that too often tries to dim our power. Come build skills, connect with community, and reclaim space with fellow community members.

Queer Resistance I: Empowerment Self Defense

Free mini intro session led by Prevention Action Change. Learn awareness-building, verbal boundary-setting, and physical skills to protect and empower yourself and our queer community.

In this series we’ll explore:
•Responding to harassment and microaggressions
•Using our voices and bodies to de-escalate or defend
•Grounding and centering techniques
•Building collective safety and support networks

All are welcome. Come as you are. Let’s resist together!
