Fifteen Trees | Reducing your carbon footprint
Fifteen Trees acknowledges Indigenous Australians as the traditional custodians of the lands on which we work, live and play. We recognise that Indigenous Australians have cared for and lived in harmony with this land for millennia, and their knowledge and wisdom of the land endures.

This is an exciting collaboration with Collen Filipa from 15 tree5, who has invited volunteers to come and assist on the day, to help with sustainable planting and weeding. As we work together to make a difference and improve sustainability at Nyns Beach.
The focus area will be starting in front of the Nuns Beach toilet block, heading north towards the Nuns Beach Hospital steps, weeding sea spurge and sea rocket for approximately an hour. Then sustainably planting in chosen areas, hairy spinifex, bower spinach and pigface. I have purchased poa grass and muntries from the local Seawinds Nursery to plant as well.
We will wrap up the working bee with afternoon tea that will be provided. For those that are keen, bring your bathers for a cool(some might say freezing 🙂) ocean dip.
Bring a water bottle and wear clothes appropriately to suit weather conditions.
PCCI will not be holding a working bee in July.
