Old-time Songs with Morgan John, Doug Sammons & Kate O'Brien

Morgan John and Doug Sammons met over 20 years ago up at the Fiddle Tunes festival in Port Townshend. Since then they have regularly met up at old-time music events (Fiddle Tunes, the National Oldtime Fiddle Contest in Weiser, ID, the Centralia Campout in Centralia, WA, Portland Oldtime Gathering, etc.) singing powerful duet versions of their favorite old-time/bluegrass songs. For this performance they have recruited renowned Portland fiddle star Kate O'Brien to join them on fiddle and vocals. The trio will perform two sets of music - beginning at about 7:15 - interspersed with open mic performances by attendees. Come on out for what will definitely be a fun evening of music.
