Official Statement from Mr. & Miss HIV Awareness PDX Pageantry LLC
On behalf of the Mr. & Miss HIV Awareness PDX Pageantry System and its founder Alexis Campbell Starr, we are proud to announce that we will be moving forward with our upcoming pageant on November 30th. Our mission has always been to uplift, educate, and unite the community around HIV awareness, empowerment, and advocacy and that commitment remains stronger than ever.
We want to make it absolutely clear that our organization and its leadership have no affiliation with Allen Cole or any situation involving him. During a time when unity and compassion are most needed, we recognize that there may be attempts to create confusion or division within the community. However, this year we stand firm united, focused, and determined to continue building a space of celebration and purpose for all.
We are grateful to have the support of nearly every titleholder since our inception in 2014, and we look forward to continuing this legacy with pride. This year, we are honored to celebrate our newly crowned Rose Emperor Hollywood and the incomparable Teala Tequiler Campbell Starr, whose contributions and spirit continue to inspire and uplift our community.
