Welcome to Monsters Ball, a curated celebration of the strange, the surreal, and the sublime. This group exhibition gathers a cast of creatures summoned from the minds of over 20 contemporary artists—beasts stitched from memory, myth, humor, grief and fantasy. Across all visual mediums these monsters take on many forms: elegant or grotesque, absurd or tragic, endearing or terrifying.
Rather than hiding in the shadows, the monsters take the spotlight. This is their night. They reveal more about us than we might expect. After all, monsters are never just monsters—they are reflections of their creators. They embody the things we fear, the rules we break, the truths we can’t face, and the parts of ourselves we try to hide.
Monsters Ball is a collective questioning. ‘What makes a monster?’—and perhaps more importantly, who makes them?
