Jonathan describes the workshop in this way: "Our Medicinal Mushroom Cultivation Workshop extends beyond a simple "how-to grow mushrooms," course. We explore cultivation within the context of human health and wellness, ancient human psychedelic history (ethnobotany), mycology and ecology. This foundation helps provide a greater depth of wisdom that weaves into the context of working with medicinal mushrooms. These steps can be applied beyond medicinal mushrooms as well, to growing gourmet fungi for food.
As we grow medicinal mushrooms, we can explore the alchemy of their transformational nature and that of fungi as it relates to where we are as individuals and a collective species at this moment in time. Medicinal Mushrooms can truly be a gateway of exploration into other subjects - forest ecology, mental health, spirituality, philosophy and so much more.
