Makaya McCraven w/ Neighbors

Makaya McCraven, one of the most innovative voices in modern jazz, brings his boundary-pushing sound to Portland this fall. Known for his genre-defying approach and visionary albums like In the Moment, Universal Beings, and In These Times, McCraven has redefined what jazz can be, blending improvisation, hip hop, and global influences into a deeply moving live experience.

Opening the night is Portland’s own Neighbors, led by drummer Machado Mijiga alongside guitarist Mike Gamble and bassist Garrett Baxter. Together they fuse indie rock, pop, folk, and jazz improvisation into fresh and adventurous sounds.

This concert is presented by Soul’d Out Productions at The Get Down, Portland’s premier live music venue in the Southeast Industrial District. Doors open at 7pm and the music begins at 8pm. Tickets are $28 in advance and moving quickly at tixr.com/e/144282. This event is 21+.
