FREE DOUBLE FEATURE! Little Shop of Horrors & The House on Haunted Hill

They say strange things happen at The Abbey after dark...

This October, the walls of Portland’s own historic Alberta Abbey come alive for a night of spine-tingling, laughter-inducing, B-movie brilliance. Rumor has it The Abbey might be haunted, and on this night, we’re not ruling it out.

First up: Little Shop of Horrors (1960). Before the Broadway musical, before Rick Moranis, and before “Feed Me, Seymour!” was a household phrase there was a scrappy, black-and-white gem that started it all. It’s the ultimate horror-comedy original, featuring a man-eating plant, absurd charm, and even an early performance from the not-yet-superstar Jack Nicholson.

Then strap in for House on Haunted Hill (1959), starring the Merchant of Menace himself, Vincent Price, at his most deliciously devious. A millionaire, a haunted mansion, and a group of “lucky” guests who might not survive the night. Will they claim the prize money or become part of the house’s permanent collection?
