Fall Mushroom Discovery Walk with Greg Hill

As the rains have returned to the Northwest, the mushrooms have popped-up everywhere, and Hoyt Arboretum is a great place to see them. Join us to get what you need to start learning mushrooms at Hoyt Arboretum! Join naturalist Greg Hill for a walk around Hoyt Arboretum to see what fungi are fruiting. We’ll identify what we see, talk about fungal morphology, and explore characteristics for mushroom identification.

Class size is limited, please register in advance
We will only be looking at mushrooms, as foraging is not permitted in Portland Parks
Registration closes Friday, November 7th at 4:00pm

About the instructor: Greg Hill is a fungiphile who has been teaching basic mushroom identification and leading mushroom walks for over 15 years. He is a Visitor Information Specialist with Hoyt Arboretum friends.
