Teach Us What It Means To Be Home
What is home? Featuring the music of composer Judd Greenstein and the words of your fourth- and fifth-grade neighbors from Portland’s Reiche Community School, this full-length concert work, featuring Classical Uprising’s Oratorio Chorale (celebrating its fiftieth season!), is a musical portrait of our state, told by the children who are transforming it.

Classical Uprising, directed by Dr. Emily Isaacson, is founded on a belief that classical music must rise up, challenge current norms, and re-envision where, how, and for whom we are making music. With 50 concerts and events year-round, Classical Uprising serves over 6,000 musicians and music lovers, amateurs and GRAMMY-winners, through our programs:
• Oratorio Chorale: symphonic chorus and professional orchestra
• Portland Bach Experience: immersive 10-day summer music festival
• Horizon Voices: four ensembles for grades K-12 developing the next generation of creative citizens
VIP ticket buyers are seated in rows 1-5 of the theatre (seats not reserved), for an up close and personal experience, and are invited to the after-party to meet the artists. Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase
