APP Week Picket Party & Practice Strike

Let's make some noise! The advanced practice providers (APPs) from OHSU invite everyone to join us for the first picket at the waterfront campus. We'll be joined by Brassless Chaps and Unpresidented Brass Bands. While there you can browse the farmers market.

A strong showing is a visual reminder to OHSU that we are united in solidarity and will not continue to accept wages that penalize us for our advanced degrees, responsibilities, liability and revenue generation. Wages must be commensurate with the value we bring to the institution and not based on outdated and arbitrary market assumptions.

APPs at OHSU formed a union in January 2024 and are bargaining their first contract. Members of the group work at OHSU locations across the state including Portland, Eugene, The Dalles and Klamath Falls and include nurse practitioners, certified nurse midwives, and physician associates serving as faculty and caring for patients in areas such as family practice, cardiology and oncology.
