NICHOLAS JAMES--
Nicholas James crafts library / study hall rock. (also known as alt-indie-mountain-music that you can dance or ponder existence to) The band is from Utah where Nicholas was born & raised. These days he lives in Portland, but the band's real residential address is 'the pocket' and they assemble occasionally to blow minds and serve songs.
At the intersection of jazz-folk & psychedelic flavored alt-rock , James sits (and occasionally stands) on a moss covered rock. His eclectic guitar playing and buttery tenor voice come together to create wistful sounds.
His newest album 'Million Days' is a catalog of heartfelt & self-produced tunes that explore the cyclical nature of the universe. Bittersweet endings and tear jerking beginnings color this record as well as Nicholas's unique production style. One can't help but linger on the hope that emanates from these songs.
