2026 Seed Swap

Celebrate National Seed Swap Day with the Portland River Valley Garden Club on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Waverly Center in Portland.

Bring labeled seeds saved from your garden — or unopened packets from last year — and exchange them for new varieties to grow this season.

Join demonstrations on seed bombs, winter sowing and microgreens. Visit the Portland Seed Library and shop with River Bend Bookshop. Refreshments will be provided.

Don’t have seeds to swap but still want to join the fun? Thanks to our sponsors, we will have extra seeds on hand: NE Seed, MI Gardener, Burpee, Baker Creek Seeds and Harts Seed.

Admission is free; food bank donations are encouraged.
