It's not over yet. Please come to the Foster Community Input meeting on Monday, May 12th at 6:00p at Kingwood Middle School. They say "Your feedback is important" so let them prove it. Show up. Give your input. Be heard.
Please share this event, especially to those whose schools will be updated in the future. We want what's best for ALL of Humble ISD and would be pained to see this happening again.
Let's also take a moment to recognize some community members who have been instrumental in advocating for our Foster and Trailwood communities.
Clay Lawson has been working consistently and tirelessly for over a year advocating for the environment for Foster and Trailwood. Not just that, but he was the one who took charge of the planting of over 200 trees a few years ago for our "Trees for Trailwood" event. For decades, Clay has fought hard, and with a deep love, to keep Kingwood "The Livable Forest".
Through diligent emails and being outspoken, Rebecca Roddy was able to get a few Foster representatives to speak with district leadership at the Friday meeting, rallied the Foster and Trailwood communities to email their grievances, suggested a pause on the parking lot, and was able to secure a community meeting with the district.
We also have to thank members of the Foster PTA and our TVCA board members for keeping our communities updated on recent events to the best of their abilities. They are doing their best to be as transparent as possible and we have them to thank for sharing information about current events.
Finally, we cannot forget each one of you for emailing the district to make our voices heard! Because of YOU, each one of you, who emailed your grievances, we are moving in the direction that is best for the community, not what is cheapest or fastest for the district. THANK YOU!
