settle: a trauma-informed, somatic yoga practice

I warmly welcome you to join me on the mat for this 90 minute, trauma-informed somatic yoga class that focuses on mindfulness + healing in safe space where you can explore and acknowledge your bodies internal signals and begin to release and heal from traumatic experiences. This approach helps to establish safety in the body by encouraging you to stay present.

We will open with breathwork and a short guided meditation and then move into a restorative yoga sequence allowing the body + mind to settle in. Then transitioning into a yoga nidra practice to help release pent up tension + energy we carry so we can leave with a feeling of deep nourishment to our mind, body + soul.

Class will be held at Kalamazoo Counseling Center at 5084 Lovers Ln, Portage, MI 49002, in the same building as Trestlewood Pediatrics.

Minimum of 3 participants to hold class at this location.
