Introduction to Paddle Sports.
Akron Sail and Power Squadron will be teaching four, on-the-water “Paddle Smart” kayak seminars this summer.
Since 2012, we have given this seminar to over 400 paddlers.
Learn how to safely navigate the water with a kayak.
We will teach you about the different types of paddle crafts & the safety gear necessary to have onboard. We'll show you how to use your paddle craft and the different paddling techniques and safety practices. But mostly, we'll teach you how to have fun safely. You may get wet, so bring a towel, a change of dry clothes, sunscreen, a hat or visor, and a water bottle.
We have different brands of kayaks, so you can compare features of each make. Use our kayaks or you can bring your own.
NOTE: Each class is limited to 10 students
Price: $45 ($10 discount for Power Squadron members.)
