About the event

Dragons on the Lake Dragon Festival

The festival brings together hundreds of paddlers and spectators to the beach at Portage Lakes State Park for a day of community, camaraderie and competition. Proceeds benefit the Dragon Dream Team. The day begins with the Awakening of the Dragon Ceremony at 8:25 a.m. Opening Ceremony is at 8:30 a.m. and racing begins at 9 a.m. Free admission for spectators.
