TCCS Chamber Singers present Mendelssohn's Hymn of Praise - Sunday

Mendelssohn’s Hymn of Praise is programmed just before Thanksgiving this year as it reflects on the hymn Now Thank We All Our God.” Published as Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 2 the first movement is an orchestral overture in three sections. Like Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony Hymn of Praise incorporates a choir and soloists in eleven movements quoting scriptures of praise and encouragement.
