A Multi-Course Culinary Journey into Ancient Egypt
$125 pp plus eventbrite fee
At St. Marks Church Parish Hall!
Experience the flavours and stories of Ancient and Medieval Egypt through a multi-course tasting menu inspired by recipes preserved in tomb paintings and ancient texts. From duck breast with figs to tigernut cakes fit for a king or queen, we’ll bring to life – and to the table – recipes, some over 3000 years-old!
Local chef and author, Signe Langford, will create a sumptuous feast — paired with captivating stories from Egyptologist Laura Ranieri Roy, of Ancient Egypt Alive who will bring to life the rituals, myths, and dining traditions of the pharaohs as well as the everyday Egyptian.
