RIDE INFORMATION
Orford Day Ride

Parking at the Orford Oval – Dicks Road Orford

Muster at 9:30am riding out at 9:45am. approx. 2.5 hours
Pace
This will be a medium paced ride everyone needs to be able to walk trot and canter in a group situation.
Shoes or boots are recommended for horses that are not seasoned to trail riding.

• All riders including day riders need to be familiar with ATHRA’s Code of Conduct, please go to www.athra.com.au and click on Governance and then click on Code of Conduct or go to the following link

• Dogs cannot follow the ride.
• Juniors must wear a riding helmet and carry a halter and lead rope. We recommend that everyone wears a helmet.
• Please ensure riding equipment is in safe condition, your horse has some level of fitness and is healthy.
• Kickers to be identified at Muster and must have a red ribbon plaited in their tails on the ride.
• A limited first aid kit will be available.
• Mobile phones are encouraged to be carried for emergencies.
• Please remove and take with you all your own rubbish. Pick up all manure and leave the area clean and tidy.
• Day riders and other ATHRA club members are welcome, please arrive early to complete required paperwork.
The Ride Coordinator reserves the right to cancel the ride if deemed necessary.
