Immerse yourself in the enchanting landscapes and ever-changing seascapes of this remarkable coastal gem. Depending on the season, you'll be treated to awe-inspiring displays of dune vegetation and wildflowers, all accompanied by a touch of history. A bronze cannon stands sentinel, guiding your gaze toward the poignant remnants of the Portuguese galleon, the Sacramento, which met its fate on June 30th, 1647.

Our 8-kilometer round-trip journey through the Schoenmakerskop-Sardinia Bay Nature Reserve commences in the charming coastal village of Schoenmakerskop. Along the way, you'll encounter Cannon Bay, aptly named for its sandy shores and the ruins of a seashell-crushing mill, offering a glimpse into the past.
