Private Pilot Licence (PPL) Groundschool

This +60 hour course contains everything you need to know to pass the exams and achieve your dreams of becoming a Private Pilot.

Start Date: 2nd June 2025
End Date: 17th July 2025
(Monday to Thursday 5.30pm - 8.00pm)
Cost: R6000 pp

The PPL Groundschool lectures take place in the evening so that it is convenient for the part time and full time student pilot to attend; and the ability to write mock exams to test your knowledge is available daily. Each week will focus on a different PPL subject.

Please note that you are required by law to attend a Theoretical Knowledge Course per each subject (Ground School) – Technical Standard 61.07.1 / 61.01.10 CATS

SACAA requires that a Letter of Recommendation be issued with each Initial Attempt to write any SACAA Exam from the CFI or Groundschool Lecturer - stating that the candidate has attended the necessary Theoretical Knowledge Course and is ready to write the exam.
