Yoga nidra is a guided practice of deep relaxation that brings you into the liminal space between waking and sleeping. While profoundly restorative to the nervous system, its true purpose is the cultivation of awareness — especially awareness of perception and how the mind creates experience moment to moment.
Traditionally, yoga nidra is used as a powerful method for releasing conditioned mental and emotional patterns (samskaras) — the psychological imprints that give rise to repetitive thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. By resting in wakeful presence, we begin to see these patterns clearly and loosen their hold.
This session includes a full yoga nidra practice followed by a sound experience — remaining in your relaxed posture as you are immersed in a variety of tones and vibrations that further support the exploration of perception and awareness.
