Go mothing with Invasive Species Manager, Trevor Zook, at Nehls Memorial Nature Preserve (4400 E Muggy Rd, Port Clinton, OH 43452). You may be wondering, what is mothing exactly? Mothing is when you hang a sheet, usually white or light colored, outside on a humid, windless night and shine lights on the sheet to attract nocturnal moths and other cool bugs. They land on the sheet, which gives you an up close look at their intricate patterns and unique shapes and colors!
Registration is not required for this FREE event. Please make sure to bring a flashlight, bug spray, a camping chair (if you'd like to sit), and anything else that would make you comfortable in the outdoors at night. Please note that this event is weather dependent - check the Facebook event for any updates.
