Contact Improvisation Class + Mini-JAM

Weekly drop-in sessions to come together, practice some contact skills, and find flow in your dance. The sessions will run as follows:

Short class: The intention is to have a focus for each evening whereby we can practice CI fundamentals such as weight sharing, rolling techniques, utilizing momentum, point of contact, leading and following, entries in and out of the floor, etc. The exercises will be beneficial for beginner and intermediate level dancers. This section of the event will be around 40mins.

Min-Jam: this is an opportunity to freely practice skills, play, research and enjoy the social and artistic aspects of Contact Improvisation. Basic jam etiquette will be introduced. The jam will be approximately 30minutes, followed by a brief relaxation practice.
