Back to the beach

The tides are perfect for this one from the archives, so we're heading back to the beach.

Meeting the carpark at the end of Doctors Point Road (see location), we'll hit the beach, heading through the arches as we cruise over the the headland to Pūrākaunui Beach. From there, it's a couple of k's along Osborne Road to the bottom of Pūrākaunui Station Road and the McKesser Track for the only major climb on this run. We'll reach the top at the Orokonui fenceline, then head straight back down the hill courtesy of the Davies Track and White Road. All up, it will be around 13.0 km and and 500 m of climbing.

The forecast looks ok at this stage, but it might be a good idea to carry a spare layer just in case.
