Ready Tech Go: A Digital Safety Event for Parents & Caregivers

Join us for Ready Tech Go, a free community event dedicated to helping parents and caregivers navigate screen time and digital safety for elementary-age children. Hosted by Port Orange Elementary School’s PTA in partnership with the Volusia County Sheriff’s Department Digital Safety Officers, this event welcomes families from all Volusia County elementary schools.

Enjoy giveaways, door prizes, and free food—plus, 25 laptops will be distributed to qualifying families!

What to Expect

For Parents & Caregivers:

• Expert Guidance on Digital Safety – Learn from Sheriff’s Department digital safety officers about parental controls, social media risks, and strategies for creating healthy digital habits.

• Interactive Discussion – Get answers to your biggest concerns, including screen time management, cyberbullying, and online privacy.

• Community Support – Connect with other parents, share experiences, and discover local resources.

For Children (K-5 ONLY): (Space is limited—thank you for understanding!)

• Supervised Fun – While parents attend the presentation, kids will enjoy safe and engaging activities in the gymnasium.

• Exciting Entertainment – Featuring a bounce house and a magic show to keep kids entertained.

• Free Food & Drinks – Enjoy Publix sandwiches, chips, pizza, and refreshments for all attendees.

All pre-registered attendees will receive a special goodie bag filled with useful items. Plus, throughout the night, we’ll be giving away exciting door prizes, including:
