Rođen 28. siječnja 1971. u Cataniji na Siciliji, Biondi je odrastao okružen glazbom, a njegova karijera započela je 1980-ih. Globalnu slavu stekao je albumom „Handful of Soul“ iz 2006. godine, koji je postao platinast u prva tri mjeseca prodaje. Tijekom godina, Mario je surađivao s brojnim glazbenim velikanima, uključujući američke legende Raya Charlesa i Chaku Khan, ali i s poznatim talijanskim umjetnicima Francom Califanom, Fredom Bongustom i Fiorellom. Njegova suradnja s talijanskim kolegama dodatno je obogatila njegov jedinstveni stil, spajajući mediteransku toplinu s utjecajima jazza i soula.
