About the event

Pottery Day Taster session- Throwing and handbuilding
Enjoying the Pottery Throwdown and keen to learn more about ceramics but don’t know where to start? Join Charlotte for a full-day workshop in her pottery studio!

Introduction to pottery covers hand-building techniques such as slabbing and you’ll also learn more about applying patterns and texture to the clay surface. You will also spend half the day throwing on the wheel and decorating your pots with coloured slips.

What you need to know:

• Price: £110 per person

• Maximum of 6 people in the workshop

• The workshop runs from 10-4pm, with an hour for lunch

• All materials and light refreshments are included (please advise of any allergies when booking)

• Please note: lunch is not included, but there is a variety of shops and cafes in Poole for you to explore

• All work will be dried, fired and ready to collect at a later date TBC
