About the event

Underground Via Ferrata/Mixed Activity Meet
Friday 11th-Sunday 13th July - Underground Via Ferrata/Mixed Activity Meet

This meet will be a mixed activity meet based at our Welsh hut, Dan-y-Mynydd. The main objective will be an underground Via Ferrata trip through Cwmorthin slate mine on the Saturday. Friday and Saturday's activities will be weather dependent but could include climbing (trad/sport), mine exploration, hiking, paddle boarding etc

There will be space at the hut for 12 people. In the past, we have had people camping in the nearby layby but this is discouraged due to complaints from the locals. Campervans are usually tolerated at the Cwmorthin car park a short walk from the hut.
