This session is open to all.
Menopause is often seen as a 'taboo' topic, affecting women of a certain age while leaving others - especially men - unsure how to offer support at home or in the workplace. Families and colleagues may struggle to understand the wide ranging effects of menopause.
Karen Read leads the session and will provide clear, accessible information about the timing of menopause and potential triggers, while highlighting some common physical and emotional impacts. We''' explore practical ways to start open conversations that reduce embarassment and build understanding.
Attendees will also receive valuable resources to support health and wellbeing during menopause - for themselves, loved ones, or colleagues.
Event will be held downstairs. A lift is available inside or slope access from car-park area directly to downstairs rooms. Multi-storey car-park is available across the road on Berw Road. For those who may find difficulty walking, parking is available behind Museum building only when Doctor's surgery is closed.
