Come and join us on 2nd February for a 3-mile circular Whistle Stop Tour Walk in Blaenavon.
We will start from the Garn Lakes Car Park. If the Car Park is closed, park on the road near to the entrance to the car park. We will then walk around the lower and top lake, then walking to the Whistle Stop Inn. Then we will walk along a bridle path towards Big Pit. This past of the walk crosses a few fields and can be boggy in places. There may be cattle in the fields, so caution with dogs in required. When we reach Big Pit, there will be an opportunity to stop for a cuppa before we walk back to the starting point.
This walk is graded a level 6 on our Marauders Walk Scale. There are some slight inclines and we will be walking across fields. Underfoot there will be a mix of gravel, tarmac and dirt tracks and a little mud in places so wear good boots and weather appropriate clothing.
