Sunday 8th June 2025 Dressage Event Details.
This event will run as a stressless format full show gear and plaiting is only optional and not essential. Prepare as suits yourself.
Sunday 8th June 2025 Tests - Class 1 starts not before 10AM.
Class 1 British Working Equitation Walk Trot 2025 (any bit or bitless bridle)
Class 2 Walk Trot Intro.3 (2024) previously Intro C (Class 2 combinations must not have won 2 Open Intro tests )
Class 3 Walk Trot Test Intro. 1 (2024) previously Intro A
Class 4 Prelim 18 (2002) class 4 combinations must not have won 3 Open Prelim tests)
Class 5 Pick a Test Prelim 14 (2006) or Novice 34 (2009)
Class 6 British Working Equitation Novice Dressage 2025 (any bit or bitless bridle)
Entry Fees £10 Legup Members all others £12.50 per rider/class. (payable on the day or via transfer 72hrs before event ) see notes below regarding withdrawal rules.
Rosettes 1st to 6th extra rosettes will be awarded if entry exceeds 12 (no class will be allowed to exceed 15 entries)
If entries exceed 9 per class a sash will also be awarded to the overall winner.
Highest placed Junior Rosette will be awarded to highest placed rider 12years or under .
Please note rider may wear spurs and carry a schooling whip. Gloves should be worn but may be of any colour (Bits only must be in line with BD rules with the exception of Class 1 and 6) Please no bit rings. If unsure please ask.
All horses competing in classes must be 4yrs or over (birth date all classified 1st Jan in the current year) no horse and rider combination may enter in more than 3 tests per competition day)
If you do not feel safe you may compete in a martingale or non dressage legal bit but will be awarded between 5 and 25 penalties (neck straps are acceptable)
Horses may not be lunged prior to competing unless permission is gained first.

Pre entry closes the Thursday before the event 11pm.

Competitors will then pay for their tests on arrival on the competition day or may pay in advance if they prefer please state when booking (PLEASE DO NOT SEND ONLINE PAYMENT UNTIL ASKED MAKESURE YOUR RIDER NAME IS STATED ON YOUR BANK DETAILS/REFERENCE).
if you would prefer rosette posting out please leave an A5 SAE or £3 to have it posted out.
Withdrawals – Please note anyone who has not notified legup regarding withdrawal by the Wednesday before the event by 11am will be expected to pay the competition fee (unless we are able to fill your place ). For those who book on and need to withdraw before the Wednesday 11am deadline there will be no charge for pulling out.
Reminder warm up and Parking is on Grass. In the event of poor forecast leading up to or on the day of the event it may be necessary sometimes to postpone or cancel.
