The sixth album from Sandra’s Wedding is undoubtedly their most ambitious to date. Looking to stretch their wings and explore a new musical palette, the Yorkshire band have committed a huge amount of energy, time and resource to forge an album they hope will stand the test of time.
Charting the course through one day as a new father, Arturus Rex celebrates life’s great milestones whilst casting an eye over the whirlwind of different emotions which come with hitting early middle-age. As loyal devotees to the album as an art form, Sandra’s Wedding approached this record as a wholistic project. In a world where ten second clips and instant gratification are seemingly king, putting forward a collection of songs to be heard together could be seen as a radical creative statement, or the signing of a death warrant.
