Attending the LA County Fair? Join Getty in our big blue tent for Curate & Create! A Print Workshop with artist Alfonso Aceves at the LA County Fair every weekend in May!

All ages are welcome to enjoy this hands-on print-making workshop with special demonstrations by Boyle Heights-based artist Alfonso Aceves of Kalli Arte Collective. Explore highlights from Getty’s artwork collection and curate your own masterpiece!

What’s your dream fairground ride? Design your dream ride at the fair. P.S. ARTS teaching artists will guide you in using color, line, and shape to create artwork inspired by the sights, sounds, and energy of the LA County Fair.

** On Sunday, May 18th the LA County Department of Youth Development (DYD) and partners will take over the Getty big blue tent to present…
CARE FIRST: Heal & Grow Art Workshop
DYD partners Green Arrow Co-Lab and the Arts for Healing and Justice Network invite fair attendees of all ages to decorate small flower pots to nurture and grow seedlings. This symbolic gesture reflects how DYD and its partners help young people in LA County grow and thrive. One pot and one seed packet will be available for participants while supplies last.

Also on view: Getty has commissioned renowned Los Angeles muralist and graffiti artist Fabian Debora, who is founder and executive director of the Homeboy Art Academy, to paint a large 8’ x 12’ mural depicting “Los Angeles Love” live on-site! Meet the artist and see him develop this piece throughout the month of May.
