Learn about our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program & meet Bluey!

The 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program encourages families to read together and build a love of stories before your little one starts school. Every book you read counts — whether it’s a favorite bedtime story, a brand-new adventure, or a silly tale that makes everyone giggle.

By reading 1,000 books together, you’ll help your child develop language skills, imagination, and a strong foundation for kindergarten.

Participants of the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten should come to celebrate their accomplishments! At each 100 books read, children have a chance to mark their progress at the library on our "wall of readers"!
