About the event

The Icon’s Journey 400km Iconic Challenge

12 x runners will assemble at University of Fort Hare on Sunday 20 July 2025
THE ROUTE :
• They will run through "The Eastern Cape's Resistance & Liberation, Heritage Route" enduring 400km over 8 days
• They will touch the following towns as they tour the Eastern Cape province on foot: Alice, Fort Beaufort, Whittlesea, Komani, Cofimvaba, Ngcobo & finish in Mthatha at Nelson Mandela Museum.
They will cover a distance of 42.2km per day for 7 consecutive days and 103 km on day 8.
THE OBJECTIVE:
• The aim is to raise funds that will benefit at least 2000 boys & girls in underprivileged communities.
