We will meet in the clubhouse for a class on drawing from the holster. This is for everyone. If you have a CCL then bring your unloaded carry firearm / belt / holster. If you don't carry, that's fine too; just wear a belt and we can provide you with a holster and plastic training firearm to use.
Then, we'll head to the range and work on our handgun skills.
Range Safety Officers will be on the range.
We will have a fun contest this month (who doesn't love to win ammo??). We will have the IL Concealed Carry qualification course set up. Anyone that passes the qualification (10 rounds at 5 yds, 10 rounds at 7 yds, and 10 rounds at 10 yds), in one try, will go into a drawing for a box of 9mm ammo.
Bring the handgun(s) you want to shoot, eye protection, and hearing protection. It will likely be warm, so a chair, water, sunscreen, and a hat are recommended.
If you're new to shooting... we have you covered and you can borrow our firearms and get instruction and assistance on the range.
BEST YET! We receive a grant from the Friends of NRA, so we will have FREE ammo available to use on the range; 22lr, .380, and 9mm.
