Below is a VERY tentative schedule for the festival. It will be updated on or before JANUARY 31. I plan to use Eventbrite for official registration to hold your spot. If you prefer a different method to secure your campsite please contact me at .

Please note:

• Food items highlighted in bold will be provided as part of your registration. Beyond these items, attendees are responsible for their own food.
• No drinks will be provided.
• This will be a peaceful, communal, family-friendly event. Kids welcomed, but activities are geared towards adults.
• Some activities might require an additional fee paid directly to the guide/teacher.

• 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM: Check-In & Camp Setup
  Arrive at the campsite, set up tents, and settle into the camp/festival grounds.
  
• 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM: Opening Circle around Fire Pit & Welcome Talk
  Gather for an introduction to the festival, meet the guides, mingle and review the weekend’s activities.
  
• 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM: Community Potluck
  Enjoy a live cooking demo featuring local mushrooms, followed by a communal meal. Please bring a main dish/salad to share. Light mushroom hors d'oeuvres/desserts/soup provided to campers. If the weather is nice, we can use the outdoor picnic tables. If not, we can go into the event center however only 25 chairs are provided and will need campers to bring more if needed. There is plenty of outdoor seating.
  
• 8:00 PM - 9:30 PM: Fireside Stories & Networking
  Relax around the campfire, share mushroom experiences, and connect with fellow attendees. Maybe mushroom trivia? Test your knowledge of fungi in a fun and casual competition. Please note camp rules require quiet hours starting at 10pm.
  
  

• 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM: Breakfast at Camp
  Start the day with a light breakfast, mushroom danishes, coffee, and tea.
  
• 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Guided/Self-Guided Foraging Excursion
  Explore nearby trails with expert guides to identify and gather mushrooms, including morels. Several guides have expressed interest, and will announce once confirmed. Guides might request an additional fee for their service/expertise.
  
• 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM: Lunch Break
  Picnic-style lunch back at the campsite. Menu goal: Lion’s Mane mushroom sandwich.
  
• 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM: Educational Talk on Mushroom Identification (in event center building) Speaker TBD
  Learn how to safely identify edible, toxic, and medicinal mushrooms. Need a projector/screen to facilitate this. Still working out details.
  
• 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM: Nature Arts & Crafts Workshop Artistens TBD
  Engage in activities like basketry or dyeing fabrics with mushroom pigments. There might be a small fee for materials.
  
• 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM: Mushroom Feast
  A communal dinner featuring mushroom-inspired dishes. Menu goal: a morel alfredo if enough mushrooms found, or just alfredo. Ingredients to make the alfredo will be provided. Looking for festival goers to share some of their finds if the mushy gods are in our favor.
  
• 8:00 PM - 9:30 PM: Fireside chat or Glow-in-the-Dark Mushroom Hunt
  Search for bioluminescent fungi with UV lights or just a sense of adventure.Chat with each other and share mushroom cultivation tall tales. Please note camp rules require quiet hours starting at 10pm.

• 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM: Breakfast at Camp
  Fuel up for the final day. Light breakfast, mushroom danishes, coffee, and tea.
  
• 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Farewell Foraging Walk
  A relaxed morning excursion to revisit trails and reinforce foraging skills.
  
• 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Closing Circle & Pack-Up
  Reflect on the festival, share parting thoughts, and pack up campsites before departure. We must be off the campgrounds by noon. That just means all the gear needs to be packed. You will still be allowed in the day use areas. Just make sure your vehicle is in a free parking area or pay the parking fee.
  
  Please note that bathrooms and outdoor water are available on-site, but there are NO showers.
